Peddi continues its blockbuster march in the Telugu states, led by exceptional collections from Coastal Andhra.
Ram Charan’s Peddi continued its impressive run at the box office on Monday, registering a solid hold across the Telugu states. The film collected approximately Rs. 15.75 crore on its fifth day in India, with the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets contributing around Rs. 12.75 crore. With this, the film’s cumulative domestic gross has reached Peddi Box Office Collections approximately Rs. 198.50 crore, just shy of the coveted Rs. 200 crore milestone.
The Telugu states have emerged as the driving force behind the film’s success, with collections surpassing Rs. 155 crore so far. The region is now on track to cross the Rs. 200 crore mark during the second weekend.
Compared to Friday, Peddi witnessed a healthy decline of around 50 percent on Monday, while the drop in the Telugu states remained below that mark. Coastal Andhra once again led the charge, delivering an outstanding Rs. 6.75 crore on Monday and registering only a 38 percent decline from Friday. Notably, the film outperformed the Monday collections of major recent releases such as Pushpa 2 and Kalki 2898 AD in the region, both of which had earned just under Rs. 6 crore on their respective Mondays. Nizam and Ceded also maintained steady momentum.
The film is firmly on course to emerge as a blockbuster in the Telugu states, with Coastal Andhra playing a crucial role in its performance. Outside its home market, Karnataka has delivered respectable numbers, but collections in most other territories have fallen short of expectations. The film’s substantial production costs remain a factor, and while the producers have mitigated risk through distribution-rights sales, several distributors—particularly in overseas markets—are likely to face significant losses.
At this stage, the film’s overall box-office outcome remains open-ended and will depend on its long-term trajectory. Given its high budget, stronger contributions from the Hindi market were expected. However, the Hindi-dubbed version has struggled to generate meaningful traction, limiting the film’s nationwide reach.
