TVK leader Vijay raises concerns over the MK Stalin government regarding law and order and the safety of youth in Tamil Nadu.
TVK chief Vijay has voiced strong concerns over the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu, casting doubt on the effectiveness of the MK Stalin-led government.
Chennai : Political tensions in Tamil Nadu intensified sharply after TVK founder Vijay launched a scathing critique of the MK Stalin-led government, blaming it squarely for what he called the moral and social decline of the state’s youth. Referring to the recent brutal attack on a young man aboard a train from Chennai to Tiruttani, Vijay said the incident had shaken the entire state and revealed a disturbing glimpse of Tamil Nadu’s direction. “This is not an isolated crime,” he said. “It is a warning of a dangerous future unfolding right before us.”
In a strongly worded post on X, Vijay accused the ruling dispensation of indifference and a complete failure to shoulder its responsibilities. He questioned why early signs of youth going astray were overlooked and why preventive measures were never taken. “Does it not matter to those in power when young lives are ruined?” he asked, condemning what he described as the government’s careless and dismissive approach.
Vijay painted a bleak picture of worsening law and order, unchecked drug circulation, and a generation being driven toward destruction. Alleging that narcotics are consuming the future of the youth, he said the administration had failed to effectively curb drug trafficking and substance abuse across the state. He also criticised the absence of strong policies to guide young people toward education, employment and innovation. “There is no proper ecosystem for quality education, no jobs that match qualifications, no encouragement for innovation or new ideas,” he said. “If none of this exists, then who is this government really working for?”
Directing his remarks at Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Vijay demanded swift and decisive action, urging the government to use whatever time remains in office to completely crack down on drug circulation in Tamil Nadu. Calling the present administration a “drama government,” he pressed for concrete action instead of hollow promises, saying, “At the very least, take responsibility now.”
Vijay’s remarks resonated with growing public concerns over youth safety, crime and governance, marking one of his strongest political interventions so far and signalling a further rise in the political heat across Tamil Nadu.
